As the Covid-19 pandemic spread and crept its way into our everyday lives, the NCAA imposed restrictions in accordance with schools regarding on-campus visitations for recruits for obvious safety measures. While a lot of prospects were still going to campuses in an unofficial manner, the interactions with coaches, existing players on the team, and support staff was missing. Unfortunately, a lot of kids missed this part of the process of choosing a college to play for.
Now that we know more about the virus and vaccines are being administered on a nationwide basis, said restrictions have been eased and recruits no longer have to rely on Zoom calls to get a feel for prospective colleges and programs.
Barton College welcomed recruits on-campus during the Carson-Newman game on October 2, 2021 and The Bulldog Insiders was there to see who made the trip to Wilson to see what the Bulldogs had to offer.
